“With a good perspective on history, we can have a better understanding of the past and present, and thus a clear vision of the future.” — Carlos Slim Helu

Insurance & Payment Details

At Cultura Health, we believe that everyone deserves access to top-notch mental health care, no matter their financial situation. We understand that navigating the costs of therapy can be overwhelming, and we’re here to make it easier for you.

High-Quality Care at Accessible Prices

We are dedicated to providing exceptional therapy services without the burden of high costs. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your partner, or your family, our goal is to make mental health care both affordable and accessible.

Insurance Coverage Made Simple

We work with most major insurance providers, so if your insurance is accepted, you’ll typically only need to cover a copay or co-insurance, provided your deductible has been met. Insurance details can be confusing, but our team is here to help you every step of the way.

When you schedule your appointment, our support staff will verify your insurance benefits before your first session. However, please note that verification of benefits does not guarantee full coverage, and clients may be responsible for any remaining costs.

Affordable Rates

Our licensed providers offer premium care at a standard rate of $120 per session, starting August 1st, 2024. We also provide an Affordable Care Program for lower-income families, allowing you to receive therapy from skilled counselor associates at a reduced rate.

Flexible Payment Options

We accept all major credit cards, HSA, FSA, and HRA accounts. For your convenience, you can enter your payment information into our secure online portal before your first appointment and keep it on file for future sessions.

We Accept the Following Insurances

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Humana
  • Magellan
  • Optum
  • United Healthcare

*Clients are welcome to use their out-of-network benefits. Benefits will need to be verified before the initial appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why would I want to talk to a stranger about my problems?

A: Think about this: your best friend was once someone you didn’t know at all. Pause and let that sink in. When we first meet and introduce ourselves, we’re moving from being strangers to starting a shared path in therapy together.

Q: What if I don’t like my provider?

A: We encourage open communication with your provider. They are professionals who understand the importance of honesty. If you feel comfortable, let us know why you’re dissatisfied, but if not, that’s okay too. We will connect you with another expert who may be a better fit for your needs. Your well-being is our primary concern, and we are committed to ensuring you receive the best care possible. Let’s work together to find the right solution for you.

Q: What services does Cultura Health offer?

A: We provide a variety of services aimed at supporting holistic well-being, such as mental health counseling, healthcare, educational programs, wellness initiatives, housing support, and more. While we offer these diverse services, our current emphasis is primarily on our behavioral and mental health services. Visit our services page for detailed information.

Q: Do you serve clients outside of the Houston area?

A: Yes, we do! While Cultura Health is headquartered in Houston, TX, and has locations in Atlanta, GA, and Cleveland, OH, our sessions are currently offered virtually. This means we can support clients from anywhere in the world. Whether you’re in another city, state, or even a different country, you can access our services and join our programs from the comfort of your own home. We’re here to provide compassionate care and support, no matter where you are.

Q: I can go to my friends or family for help for free, why would I pay someone for that?

A: While friends and family can be great sources of support, they might not have the training needed to properly address mental health issues, and they are not required to maintain confidentiality.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, and United Healthcare/Optum. Members are welcome to use their out-of-network benefits as well. Please note that benefits will need to be verified before the initial appointment to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for you.

Q: Do you accept uninsured/underinsured clients?

A: Yes, our Affordable Therapy Program was made just for you! Everyone deserves access to mental health services, regardless of their income level or insurance status. We are dedicated to providing reliable and accessible mental health care to anyone who needs it. Your well-being is important to us, and we strive to make our services available to all, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent you from receiving the support you deserve.

Q: How long are therapy sessions?

A: Therapy sessions are typically scheduled once a week and last between 45 to 55 minutes. However, the duration and frequency can be tailored to fit each individual’s needs. Treatment may range from just a few sessions to several years, depending on your therapeutic goals and progress. Our aim is to provide a personalized approach to ensure you receive the support you need at every stage of your journey.
